Jake Paul Defeats ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson By Unanimous Decision – Paul vs. Tyson Results (Highlights)

In one of the most anticipated boxing matches of the year, YouTube star Jake Paul took center stage inside the 80,000-seat AT&T Stadium for a heavyweight showdown with the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet,’ Mike Tyson. 

Round 1

Paul comes out dancing early and Tyson looks to close the distance right away. Tyson lands a nice right and follows it up with an overhand right that connects. Tyson rushes in and lands inside before tying up. Paul jabs to the body and clinches up again. Paul swings big on a right hook but misses the mark. Tyson moves in and Paul sticks him with a jab. Paul throws another right hand that lands this time. Paul is starting to find his rhythm with the jab as Tyson lands low. 

Round 2

Paul continues to keep his distance and lands a nice body shot to Tyson with the right hand. Paul throws a right followed by a left that Tyson counters with a right hook. Tyson rips to the body and looks to land an uppercut prompting Paul to clinch. Paul jabs as Tyson shows off his head movement and doubles up on his own jab. Paul throws a straight left that misses. 

Round 3

Tyson looks to ramp things up in the third, coming out immediately looking to close in and land big. Paul lands a left hook and appears to wobble Tyson. Paul peppers him with a couple more before going back to his jab. Tyson is taking punishment as Paul lands a glancing right hand. Tyson moves in again but eats a barrage of strikes from Paul. Tyson’s output has taken a significant hit as it appears the 58-year-old is starting to lose stamina. 

Round 4

Tyson looks to get back to work as Paul continues to lean on his jab and look to land his patented right hand. Tyson attempts to counter a left from Paul with an uppercut but misses. Tyson is utilizing good head movement but hasn’t been able to connect with any of his punches thus far. Paul throws a combination and connects with a left hook. Paul jabs to the body and Tyson is content to dance around and ride out the remainder of the round. 

Round 5

More of the same in round five with Paul leaning on his jab and setting up for the right hand. Paul lands a solid one-two combination and Tyson seems more interested in biting his glove than throwing them. Paul jabs to the body, but Tyson lands a big left as Paul circles away from the ring ropes. Paul lands with a right hand. Tyson attempts to answer right before the bell but is unable to land. 

Round 6

Paul comes out peppering Tyson with an assortment of shots as ‘Iron’ loads up for one big knockout blow. The problem is, he can’t seem to close the distance with Paul. ‘The Problem Child’ doubles up on the jab and Tyson tries to answer with a left hook. Paul jabs and Tyson appears to be on empty as he heads to the penultimate round. 

Round 7 

Tyson comes out showing a bit of life, but it’s Paul who comes to outland ‘Iron’ with combinations to the body and head. Paul throws a one-two followed by a left to the body. Paul lands a right that has Tyson rocked. Tyson takes it and moves forward, but is unable to muster anything substantial before the bell sounds. 

Round 8

Paul is landing a series of lefts in close and Tyson fires back with a big right. Paul moves in again and Tyson uncorks a left that narrowly misses. Fans are frustrated as Tyson’s volume is still limited. Paul triples up on the jab and connects with a clean right hand. Paul throws a one-two that Tyson dodges, but ‘Iron’ offers nothing in return and the fighters are content to spend the last few seconds of the fight with a show of respect.
