When Tommy Fury announced that he had been denied entry into the United States, the fight between himself and Jake Paul seemed to fade away; however, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
On Wednesday, Paul posted a video on his Instagram telling his opponent to go to the American Embassy in London and obtain an expedited work visa.
“Update, we’ve spoken to Tommy Fury’s lawyers. They are all advising him to just go to the embassy and get his visa, that’s all he has to do,” Paul said. “But Tommy is showing no urgency, he hasn’t gone yet, and he’s not communicating with us on what he’s doing. Is this another case of Tommy Fumbles being scared to fight me? I think that’s what it is.”
Paul believes Fury is trying to get him to fight in the U.K., which he is down for. There is a catch; however, Paul demanded the Fury team put together 15 million dollars.
“I think the Fury family is trying to manipulate something here to make me fight in the UK. Okay, you want me to fight in the UK? Show me $ 15 million,” Paul said. Because here in America we do more pay-per-view buys, more ticket sales, and more sponsorship. I’ve shown you the money and we’re ready to go in MSG on August 6. Tommy, you’re going to miss out on the biggest payday of your life because you want me to come to the UK? Like I said, I’ll come there, just show me the money. Y’all can’t do that, y’all don’t have $ 15 million, this is embarrassing, go to the embassy, get your visa and let’s make this fight happen. Stop ducking me and stop wasting my time.”
Time will tell if the fight will happen, but if it does, it will take place at Madison Square Garden on August 6.
