- Mike Tyson might want to fight Jake Paul but under one condition
- The YouTuber is also interested in making the fight happen
Jake Paul is set to make his ring return in August but it appears that he would already be working on his next fight. Following Mike Tyson’s call for a showdown in a recent TV guesting, “The Problem Child” acknowledged and it looks like a fight is about to happen.
Tyson was quizzed
When asked to address a potential fight with Paul on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, “Iron Mike,” who has always been vocal about his support to the YouTuber’s craft, said that “anything is possible.”
Tyson sounded as if he’s really down to fight Paul, but if that would really be the case, the boxing legend wants it to take place “this year” already.
“That could be very interesting,” Tyson said of a clash with Paul. “He is skilled enough and I will give it to him because he is winning… Even if he is fighting fighters that aren’t meant to be good enough, they should still be beating him but they can’t. He is beating people that he shouldn’t really be beating so you have to give him credit. He is doing good and he is doing things that are great for boxing. This guy has 7 million people following him every time he fights.”
“The champions of the world don’t have that many people following him so what he is doing for boxing is sensational,” he added. “No-one should be hating on him, what this kid is doing they should be following him. He is helping everybody get money so why are people mad at him?… Anything is possible but it has got to happen this year.”
Say no more
As expected, the equally-outspoken Paul quickly responded and verbally agreed that he and Tyson are “making it happen” within the current year.
“Thank you to the great Mike Tyson for the respect and opportunity,” Paul tweeted. “This year we are making it happen.”

Jake’s older brother Logan has previously revealed that he has gone broke after losing millions on crypto. But if the Tyson vs. Paul fight will be sealed, “The Problem Child” will surely be in for another huge payday. In fact, Tyson has supported Paul from the very beginning of his five fight professional career that began after a win over fellow YouTuber AnEson Gib. Later, Paul fought on the undercard of Tyson’s exhibition fight against Roy Jones, Jr. and that provided Paul with a large platform to launch his career beyond the confines of the ring.
