It appears Hasim Rahman Jr. and DAZN boxing are on this weekend (Sat., Nov. 19, 2022).
On Monday, Nov. 14, 2022, Vitor Belfort, Rahman’s initial opponent in the Misfits 003 boxing event, withdrew from the match due to undisclosed reasons.
Belfort’s fight with Rahman would mark his second professional boxing match after he won his first match via knockout of Jose Mario Nieves in 2006.
Originally scheduled to face former six-division champion Oscar De La Hoya, Belfort returned to the ring last September. However, De La Hoya tested positive for Covid, so Belfort was unable to contest. He then contested an exhibition match against Evander Holyfield and stopped him at 1:01 in the first round.
On November 15th, Misfits boxing confirmed that Hasim will go on to meet Greg Hardy this weekend.
A knee disqualification cost Hardy his UFC debut in January 2019, but he went on to win four straight. Hardy’s victory over Ben Sosoli in October 2019 was ruled a no-contest by the Massachusetts State Athletic Commission as a result of the use of an inhaler between rounds. Hardy, who suffers from asthma, stated that he was unaware of the rule.
The most recent loss Hardy (7-5, 1 NC) suffered was a TKO or KO. On March 5, Serghei Spivac defeated him using ground and pound in the first round at UFC 272. The fight was Hardy’s last in the UFC.
Greg Hardy, a former NFL player who fought out his contract with the UFC at the end of March, has officially left the promotion.

Event handlers will try to reschedule Rahman-Belfort in early 2023, so the show will continue. Rahman faces a new opponent Greg Hardy this Saturday.
Rahman (12-1) gained fame after he was scheduled to face Jake Paul this past summer (Aug. 2022). As a matter of fact, this matchup was very intriguing, due in part to Rahman being the first boxer Paul would have ever faced at that point in his career. As it turned out, the match was never held because Rahman failed to meet the weight requirements during fight week, which resulted in the match being canceled. Since then, Paul has won his most significant victory to date when he defeated Anderson Silva.
