Jake Paul and Gervonta “Tank” Davis are set to meet inside the ring this November for a special boxing showcase in Miami. The Florida Athletic Commission has officially sanctioned the bout as an exhibition, confirming details such as glove size, round length, and the use of both human and AI judges. The matchup, airing globally on Netflix, will not affect either fighter’s professional record but still allows for knockouts under standard rules.
“The Florida Athletic Commission confirms that this event has been sanctioned as an exhibition,” the organization stated.“The match will be logged in the national registry as an exhibition, and it will not count toward either athlete’s professional record.”

Fight Format and Rules
The exhibition will run ten rounds, with each round lasting three minutes. Both Paul and Davis will use 12-ounce gloves. Knockouts and technical knockouts are allowed and would immediately stop the contest — even though the result won’t appear in the official record books.
“The exhibition will classify knockouts and technical knockouts as fight-ending in the same manner as professional contests,” commission officials said. “The Florida Athletic Commission remains committed to transparency, regulatory compliance, and the continued safe advancement of combative sports in Florida.”
A unique twist for this exhibition is the judging panel. The commission revealed that the bout will feature three judges — two human professionals and one AI system providing computerized scoring. However, none of these scores will determine an official winner.
AI Judge Makes Its Official Appearance
This marks one of the first times an artificial intelligence judge will officially be part of a sanctioned boxing event. While AI scoring has been tested in the past — such as during the Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury fight — this is among the few instances where it is recognized as part of an official judging team. Still, the AI’s scorecard will be recorded only for experimental purposes and will not affect the final outcome.
Originally, the fight was expected to take place in Atlanta, but promoters withdrew their application before the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission could make a ruling. The venue was later switched to Miami, with Florida authorities granting approval under their exhibition guidelines.
Alongside the Paul–Davis main event, the card will also include several competitive bouts fought under standard boxing rules — among them, a super featherweight title match between Alycia Baumgardner and Leila Beaudoin, both of whom bring strong records and reputations into the ring.
Size and Weight Factor
The matchup presents a significant size discrepancy between the two fighters. Jake Paul, who usually competes around 190 pounds, will face Gervonta Davis, who last fought at 135 pounds. Despite the gap, Davis’ speed and experience make this an intriguing stylistic clash, even if the result is only for spectacle.
