Originally, he was set to face TV personality Joey Essex, but that fight didn’t happen. Instead, Deji took on Dawood Savage, a fighter with no wins and a rough reputation in celebrity boxing circles.
Deji entered the ring heavier than Dawood Savage by almost 10 pounds, and the fight was changed to exhibition rules at the last moment, with just four short rounds. This added a bit of mystery to the bout.
At the start, Savage seemed to be doing better, using close-range moves to frustrate Deji, even though the YouTuber had more skill. Fans watching were sure Savage was ahead.
