Francis Ngannou, the former UFC heavyweight champion, had a tough time in boxing, losing two big fights to Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

He did really well against Tyson Fury, even knocking him down, but he was knocked out by Joshua later on.

Now, Francis is back in MMA and won his fight quickly, beating PFL heavyweight champion Renan Ferreira to prove he’s still one of the best big fighters.

Deontay Wilder wants to fight Francis Ngannou

Right now, no one knows what’s next for Francis Ngannou. There aren’t many good opponents for him in the PFL, and he keeps getting offers to go back to boxing.

Deontay Wilder, a former champion, recently said he would love to fight Francis. Even though Wilder lost his last two fights, he’s still one of the biggest names in boxing.

“Even since I’ve been off, there’s been a lot of offers coming in, [from] a lot of different countries. Even with Francis.

“What’s up, brother? I hope everything is going good for you, man. I’m sorry for your loss. I can only imagine what it’s like to lose a child, man. I never hope to even feel that feeling of it. I hope life is going beautifully for you, bro.

“That’s a conversation I’m still looking to get in there in the mix and talk about.” Wilder shared with TMZ.

The interviewer asked Wilder if his boxing skills made a fight with Ngannou unfair, but Wilder, who’s 39 years old, said he respects all his opponents and doesn’t think it’s unfair at all.

“Any fight is competitive. You’ve got a man who’s got two hands, two feet, and got a heart, that will to win. You’ve got competition, you’ve got a fight on your hands.

“So, that’s why when you get in the ring you respect every man that steps in there because you never know what they may bring to the fight.” he said.

Ngannou also wants to fight Deontay Wilder

People have been talking about these two fighting for a long time. Fans are really excited to see two of the strongest fighters meet, but they’re still deciding what kind of fight it should be.

Wilder was thinking about moving to MMA to fight Ngannou, but now it looks like a boxing match is more likely.

Before his fight in October, Ngannou said:

“Wilder is a very good name that I’d be interested in, especially in pure boxing. That’s where we both stand a chance.”

Now that Wilder is ready, they can start talking about making the big fight happen.
