Former UFC standout Darren Till made his Misifts Boxing debut on Saturday in Machester, England.

Originally, Till was scheduled to square off with Tommy Fury in the MF & DAZN X Series 20 headliner at Co-Op Live, but Fury was forced to bow out of the bout. Insert Anthony Taylor, a former Bellator fighter who has found new life inside the boxing ring. Stepping in to face ‘The Gorilla,’ Taylor has won his last four bouts, including back-to-back knockouts in his last two outings under the Misfits banner.

Round 1

Darren Till puts on the pressure early, but it’s Taylor who lets his hands go first, throwing a combination against the ropes. Till looks to establish his jab as Taylor finds himself quickly cornered. Taylor circles his way out as Till fires another stiff jab. Taylor ducks under another jab attempt, but quickly eats a left hook for the ex-UFC star. Taylor is dancing around, but Till is practically landing the left at will while setting it up with his jab.

Taylor is hesitant to throw as Till continues to stalk and feint. Taylor throws a couple of looping rights, but both miss the mark. Till ends the opening round with a nice one-two combination in the center of the ring.

Round 2

Taylor tries to gain some respect from Till by throwing early, but Till’s distance management is keeping him just out of range. Taylor narrowly connects with a right hand as Till lands another one-two. Till doubles up on the jab and Taylor tries to swing wildly in response. That costs him as Till lands a short right hook in close. Taylor promptly ties up, but they’re quickly separated by the referee. Till goes back to work, stalking Taylor and pressuring him to the ropes.

Till throws another combination and catches Taylor with an uppercut on his way out. It’s all Till with 20 seconds to go in the round as all Taylor can do is turtle up against the ropes and circle away.

Round 3

It’s more of the same in round three with Taylor struggling to close the distance. Till connects with a right hand and the two box in close before Taylor hits the mat. However, Taylor’s fall is ruled a slip rather than a knockdown. Still, Till picks up the pressure and unleashes a flurry of strikes that sits Taylor down for the second time in the round. Taylor dances around to survive the round, but Till is in complete control as we reach the mid-way point of the fight.

Round 4

Desperate to close the distance, Taylor tries to duck inside and land on the body, but Till makes him pay with an uppercut to the body followed by a check left that catches Taylor on the chin. Taylor lands a solid jab, but Till gives him his receipt, connecting with a vicious right that puts Taylor on his back. Taylor answers the referee’s eight-count, but it feels like it’s just a matter of time before Taylor eats the mat again.

With 30 seconds to go, Till catches Taylor with a combination against the ropes but gets a warning from the referee for pulling Taylor down to the mat. Back up, Taylor once again goes down while enduring a barrage of strikes from Till, but the referee once again rules it a slip, negating yet another potential knockdown.

Round 5

To his credit, Taylor is still dancing around and putting his best foot forward, but Till’s striking is just too precise for the former MMA fighter. Till connects with a massive right hand that pops Taylor’s head back, but Taylor manages to connect with a shot of his own that draws blood. Taylor lands a big overhand right and Till is bleeding profusely from his nose. After eating some solid shots from Till, the UFC star appears to be slowing down as Taylor begins pushing the pace.

Round 6

Perhaps catching his second wind, Taylor comes out firing, but Till lands a big right hand before knocking Taylor to the mat with a nasty uppercut in close. Smelling blood in the water, Till swarms Taylor and lands another combination punctuated by a booming uppercut that sends Taylor to the mat for the third and final time.

Official Result: Darren Till def. Anthony Taylor via TKO at 1:05 of Round 6.
