- Cris Cyborg took a swipe at Claressa Shields’ suspension due to marijuana
- The Brazilian wants to face “T-Rex” in a PFL fight
Cris Cyborg threw shades at Claressa Shields after the unbeaten boxer got suspended due to marijuana and is now calling for a PFL showdown.
Cyborg calls Claressa the “Ducking champion”
Form the look of it, Cyborg is still yearning to finally take on Shields. After “T-Rex” tested positive for marijuana following her heavyweight unification bout win, Cyborg mocked her on social media.
Cyborg even provided a link to the website she created which is meant to troll Shields. In it, Cyborg called Shields “Ducking Champion” and even accused “T-Rex” of pushing “a false narrative” that she is the undisputed “GWOAT” of female boxing.
“Is The Goofiest Woman of All Time Claressa Shields? Women’s Boxing is full of pioneers such as Laila Ali, Holly Holm, Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor who have helped pioneer the sport of Women’s Boxing by building platforms for other female athletes to achieve their own goals in Combat Sports,” the website’s statement read.
“While these female fighters have used their platforms to empower, Claressa Shields has used hers to diminish the accomplishments of others in an attempt to push a false narrative that she is somehow the greatest female boxer of all time.”

Cyborg wants Claressa in a PFL match
So far, the Brazilian has been having success in both MMA and boxing. However, Cyborg is open to facing Shields in MMA under the PFL banner now that “T-Rex” is indefinitely suspended in boxing.
In another post on X, Cyborg egged Shields to sign the contract.

Shields previously explained how Cyborg betrayed their friendship and why their fight is still not happening to this day.
As it stands, Cyborg beat PFL champ Larissa Pacheco at PFL: Battle of the Giants. On the other hand, Shields dominated Danielle Perkins to unify the heavyweight titles earlier this month.
