Canelo Alvarez Taking Home Monstrous $35 Million Fight Purse, Jacobs Banks 2.5 Million
WBC and WBA champion Saul Alvarez (51-1-2, 35 KOs) will look to capture a third middleweight crown tonight (Sat., May 4, 2019) when he clashes against IBF titleholder Daniel Jacobs (35-2, 29 KOs) in one of the blockbuster fight cards from inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Boxing superstar Alvarez claimed his titles after scoring a majority decision over Gennady Golovkin (GGG) last September then went on to outclassed Rocky Fielding via knockout three months later.
Canelo is a -450 favorite (bet $450 to win $100) over Jacobs (35-2, 29 KOs) who’s +350 (bet $100 to win $350) as the underdog.
Saul Alvarez signed a record-breaking 11 fight five-year contract with streaming network DAZN, worth a minimum of $365 million.
Canelo Alvarez is making his second appearance under this contract and will be taking home staggering $35 million with his match against Daniel Jacobs who earn $2.5 million according to ESPN’s Dan Rafael. which is $1 million more than what Jacobs made for his match against Gennady Golovkin back in 2017.
