Canelo Alvarez Signed $365 Million Deal With DAZN Streaming Service

Canelo Alvarez Is Turned Into A Very Rich Man After Inking DAZN Monster Contract!

You can say that Canelo Alvarez is the richest fighter in the world! He has signed almost unreal five-year, 11-fight contract with streaming service DAZN. The minimum worth of the contract is superb $365 million dollars! His first super middleweight boxing match under the new contract is slated for December 15th in Madison Square Garden. His opponent is always dangerous Rocky Fielding!

Yet, Canelo Alvarez says he is happy since fans needn’t pay 70 or 80 dollars to watch his fights anymore. (via MMAMania.com)

“This is only from my hard work,” Alvarez told ESPN. “The most important thing to me was being able to give the fans the opportunity to see me fight without having to pay the $70 or $80 for my fights on pay-per-view. That was the most important thing, more important than what I am making.”

DAZN is also the home of Bellator MMA. As well as you remember, HBO boxing hanged up its gloves after 45 years. This company is now focused on original programming. But, Showtime announced the exit from boxing during 2019. DAZN is also partnered with Golden Boy Promotions and Oscar De La Hoya. The first fight between Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz is definitively the step in the right direction for Golden Boy popularity.

The company sees Canelo Alvarez as outstanding ability to grow!

“We are thrilled to be exclusive partners with Golden Boy Promotions and Oscar De La Hoya,” John Skipper, executive chairman of Perform Group, DAZN’s parent company, told ESPN. “By bringing Canelo’s fights to DAZN, we will turn his pay-per-view success into a growth engine for subscribers — a truly transformational moment for our business and the entire industry.”

There are no Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao at the moment, so Canelo Alvarez is one of the biggest superstars! His last fight versus GGG is probably the best boxing match in the last few years! What do you think, will DAZN dominate the market after signing Alvarez? After all, the subscription costs only 9.99 dollars per month!
