World’s Strongest Man Brian Shaw is backing Mike Tyson to come out on top in his highly anticipated return to the ring.
On Friday, November 5, ‘Iron’ will step back into the spotlight when he heads to the 80,000-seat AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas for a clash with ‘The Problem Child’ Jake Paul. The bout will air live on Netflix—a first for the streaming giant and its 280 million subscribers.
With fight night a few sleeps away, Tyson is looking absolutely shredded and, as a result, has a lot of fans believing he could score a stunning upset against his much younger opponent.
During a brief interview with social media star Overtflow, Shaw offered his take on Tyson vs. Paul and the undisputed heavyweight champion’s chances of getting his hand raised in The Lone Star State.
“That’s an interesting one, man,” Shaw said. “I personally met and talked with Mike Tyson. The dude has a different switch and that’s the X-factor where could just see something switch in his brain. It’s another level. He’s a killer so if he brings that out, that’s a whole other level.
“I’m also a Mike Tyson fan so I gotta lean that way.”

Shaw is considered one of the greatest strength athletes of all time, winning the World’s Strongest Man tournament in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2016. He is just one of five men to win the competition four or more times.
Shaw is also a two-time Arnold Classic winner and was the first athlete to win both tournaments in the same year—an accomplishment he claimed in 2011 before later repeating it in 2015.
Legendary Manager Gene Kilroy Lauds the Strength of Mike Tyson at 58 Years Old
Gene Kilroy, the legendary manager of boxing and civil rights icon Muhammad Ali, has known Tyson since he was a teenager.
Over the last four and a half decades, Kilroy has watched ‘Iron’ go from a dominant world champion to a bonafide legend in the sport, but after all these years, he believes the 58-year-old is the strongest he’s ever been.
“This is the strongest I’ve ever seen you, the strongest I’ve ever seen you and I’ve known you since you were 13 years old,” Kilroy admitted to Tyson in an episode of his Behind the Mike documentary series. “I think this is so (amazing), this impressed the sh*t out of me. Nothing impresses me.
“You know what, I’m going to tell you the truth, I don’t lie. I was worried about him traveling here, traveling there, I can sleep now at night. This is great.”
