Disgruntled Boxer Curtis Harper Leaves Ring Immediately After Opening Bell
On Friday night (August 24, 2018) at Premier Boxing Champions event, a heavyweight showdown between Curtis Harper and Efe Ajagba broadcasted on Fox Sports 1, but in a rare instance, a fighter wins the match without even throwing a punch.
Both fighters made their ways into a ring, bumped fist and then move to their respective corners to await the opening bell, as soon the opening bell rang, Harper left the ring and made his way to the backstage. Ajagba was granted the victory via disqualification, also gets his payday but Harper wouldn’t.

PBC commentator Jordan Hardy, spoken to Harper afterward and said Curtis ditched the bout halfway due to financial reasons as he felt disrespected for the amount he’s been getting thus refused to compete.
If y’all are wondering I spoke to Harper and he said he walked out of the ring because he’s not getting paid enough to fight and that he wants respect. 🤦🏻♀️ #AjagbaHarper #PBConFS1
