  • Anderson Silva thinks Nick and Nate Diaz could do well in boxing
  • Nate has been called out by Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley

Both Nick and Nate Diaz are generating buzz in boxing as of late. The older Nick has yet to insinuate a concrete desire to return following his TKO via retirement loss to Robbie Lawler in their rematch at UFC 266. On the other hand, Nate had just ended his ties with the UFC last month right after submitting Tony Ferguson at UFC 279.

With UFC legend Anderson Silva already found a new lease on life in boxing, “The Spider” himself has urged the Diaz brothers to follow suit.

The Diaz brothers are good for boxing

In a recent talk with The Last Stand podcast, Silva raved about Nick and Nate’s boxing skills. The former longtime UFC middleweight champion, who is set to face internet star Jake Paul on Oct. 29, also stressed that his fellow UFC veterans could pull off “something very, very special” in boxing too if they would be willing too.

“Let me tell you something, the Diaz brothers have amazing boxing,” Silva said. “This guy in this sport can do something very, very special… You know, Nick and Nate have very good boxing, both. I think he’s amazing. I respect both. I love both.”

“The guys make a lot of fights special for the MMA community,” he added. “The guys have a long, long, long traditional life inside the MMA sports. The people need to respect both because they are amazing fighters.”

Nate already has options

Nate has not expressed interest in stepping inside the ring but as early as now, he is already being called out by some notable names in boxing. Paul previously said that he would “love to” fight Nate. More recently, former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley said he could face Nate for “a few millions.

The decision would be up to Nate but it wouldn’t be a surprise if he gives it a go with either Paul or Woodley.
