Anderson Silva will be back in the boxing ring on a card headlined by Floyd Mayweather.

TMZ reports that Silva will collide with Bruno Machado in an exhibition boxing match on May 14. The two will collide on a helicopter landing pad atop the Burj Al Arab Hotel. It’ll be an eight-round match and will be contested at 194 pounds according to MMAFighting.

Anderson Silva vs. Bruno Machado

Anderson Silva has found some success in his transition to boxing. He scored a shocking split decision win over former boxing world champion Julio César Chávez Jr. back in June 2021. He followed that up by brutally knocking out Tito Ortiz in their Sept. 2021 boxing match.

As for Machado, he has a pro MMA record of 15-9. He hasn’t competed since Jan. 2021 when he defeated Mickael Lebout via unanimous decision.

As mentioned, Mayweather will be headlining the May 14 card. He’ll collide with Don Moore in an exhibition bout. Moore has a pro boxing record of 18-0-1 with 12 knockouts to his credit. While Moore is described as “dangerous” in the promotion for the fight, many believe his record is padded as he’s mostly fought opponents with sizable losing records.
