  • 50 Cent laughed at “Money” and compared the incident to a WWE script

50 Cent poked fun at Floyd Mayweather for outrageously firing the referee in the middle of the fight during his exhibition match with John Gotti III.

Floyd pulled a WWE stunt

Mayweather made headlines this past weekend not because he put on such an entertaining performance against Gotti III but due to his call to replace the official while the fight was ongoing. “Money” complained about some rabbit punches being thrown by Gotti III before ultimately firing the official.

Rapper and producer 50 Cent were among the many who unsurprisingly trolled Mayweather on social media afterwards.

“This is how Champ boxing matches look now, WWE Vibes 😆he fired the referee during the fight. LOL,” 50 Cent wrote as caption on his Instagram post.

The match ended in a draw

Apart from Mayweather’s bizarre act, the bout was also criticized by fans due to lack of action. Many were not satisfied with how both “Money” and Gotti III fought for eight rounds. In the end, no decision was made as judges deemed the bout as a draw, a result that did not shock the fans.

Prior to Gotti III, Mayweather secured a win over reality TV star-turned-pro boxer Aaron Chalmers in another exhibition. As it stands, the boxing legend has remained undefeated in his exhibition career.
