Rory MacDonald and Ben Askren are two of the best welterweights in MMA today. MacDonald (20-4) a veteran UFC moved to Bellator in 2017, where he already racked up two straight wins, most recently he suffered a potentially broken nose and a badly damaged leg over the course of five rounds to knock Douglas Lima via unanimous decision at Bellator 192 to win Bellator welterweight champion.
Meanwhile, Ben Askren retired from active competition last November as the ONE Welterweight champion with an undefeated record of 18-0-1.
An MMA fan tagged MacDonald in a Twitter post, and there you go a string of trash talk started between current Bellator champion and retired undefeated Ben Askren. However, Macdonald said he is down for a fight, check out the talk below:
Askren said, asked your boss, Bellator president Scott Coker, to which Macdonald promptly tagged Scott:
Here things got little heated up:
Fake news. I approached you and I told you that you would be an easy nights work. You would be an easy nights work. https://t.co/fiLnAdhzYD

Since he retires, Ben Askren, channeling a fight with St-Pierre, but GSP showed he is uninterested in the locking horns against ‘extremely talented’ Ben Askren because nobody knows who he is, as Askren never fights in the UFC because of a long-standing rift with UFC president Dana White.
So, this was just a bit of trash talk here, but maybe if they keep talking long and loud enough, anything can happen?
Bellator your move now.
