On Monday Bellator announced, the legendary heavyweight kickboxer turned mixed martial artist Mirko Cro Cop has been added to Bellator 200 card in England, where he will square off against fellow former UFC fighter Roy Nelson.
Both fighters first squared off back in 2011 at UFC 137 with Nelson earning a third-round knockout against the legendary Cro Cop.
Mirko announced his retirement following a first-round technical knockout of Japanese legend Tsuyoshi Kosaka at Rizin’s New Year’s Eve Event, but those plans seem to have changed.
Mirko Cro Cop is currently riding an eight-fight winning streak dating back to 2014. During that period, he holds wins over “King Mo” Lawal, Gabriel Gonzaga and Satoshi Ishii.
Most recently, he knocked out Japanese legend, Tsuyoshi Kosaka, in the first round of their contest at Rizin FF 9 back in December 2017.
Roy Nelson, meanwhile, dropped in the opening round of the Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix to Matt Mitrione last month. Big Country debuted with the promotion at Bellator 183, where he picked up a unanimous victory against Javy Ayala.
Bellator 200 is set to take place on Friday, May 25, 2018, from The SSE Arena, Wembley. The main card kicks off on the Paramount Network via tape delay in the United States at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT.
