BKFC 8 Headlined by Former UFC Giants
Bare Knuckle Fight Championship is getting ready to put on another event yet again. BKFC has been making waves as of late with the names that they’ve been able to reel in. In addition, the phenomenon of actual bare-knuckle fighting is refreshing to long-time combat sports fans who have longed for something more unpredictable.
The organization has done it again with recognizable names as former UFC heavyweights Bigfoot Silva and Gabriel Gonzaga will square off at BKFC 8.

Silva and Gonzaga will take on each other in the main event of the 8th installment of BKFC. The matchup will take place on October 19th, at the Florida State Fairgrounds Entertainment Hall. The event will also be available to purchase via pay per view and on popular combat sports platform Fite.tv.
BKFC is Excited about the Matchup
In a recent press release for the organization, BKFC President David Feldman expressed his excitement for the matchup.
Feldman stated, ” I am very excited to have these two legends competing in the BKFC squared circle. They have fought and beat some of the best fighters in the world and now they will fight each other.” Feldman continued, “Tampa is a great fight market and we are thrilled to be able to host another event there. The fans in Tampa love BKFC and we plan on giving them another great show.”
Not Only is BKFC excited, So Are the Fighters
Both Gongaza and Silva pronounced their enthusiasm during the press release.
Silva is excited to be part of a new organization and a fresh atmosphere.
“It’s a great honor for me to fight for a great new company like BKFC,” Silva declared in the release. “They are doing everything right and this is a great opportunity for me to showcase my boxing.”
He continued, “Fighting with bare knuckles is where it all started for me. I will be ready for Gonzaga, so he better be ready for me. I’m fighting for my children and nothing will stop me.”
Gonzaga solidified his loyalty to the organization
He also expressed how he felt about it as a long-time veteran of combat sports.
“I have fought everywhere in the world, in the biggest organizations, and (the) bare-knuckle is exciting, pure and it’s where it all started,” Gonzaga said. “I’m excited to have the second half of my career fighting for BKFC. I have no doubt I made a great choice and BKFC will be one of the biggest promotions in the world. I can’t wait to fight ‘Bigfoot’ Silva. He is a great fighter, but I am coming ready to win.”
Expect Fireworks
The old saying in combats sports is that “If heavyweights are swinging fists, anything can happen.” Usually, that saying is applied to combat sports where the competitors wear gloves.
With neither competitor wearing any gloves, it’s hard to imagine anything other than one man getting knocked completely out.
