‘Platinum’ Mike Perry is coming off the success of winning his second appearance inside the BKFC squared circle. At BKFC 27 in London, Perry faced Bellator MMA star Michael ‘Venom’ Page in a unique crossover bout. After five rounds, the fight was ruled a majority draw requiring them to go to a sudden death sixth-round.

Perry earned the not from the judges in the sixth round, winning the contest via unanimous decision. Following the impressive victory, Mike Perry called out YouTuber turned professional boxer, Jake Paul.

“[Let me] call out real quick. Jake Paul, you need an opponent! You need a money fight, I’m the real money fight. Maybe I’ll put the pillows back on if you’re scared to get in here,” Perry said.

During his appearance on ‘The MMA Hour’ with Ariel Helwani, Perry spoke about his call out of ‘The Problem Child’ and his hopes of taking on the social media star in October.

“I think it makes a lot of sense. He keeps losing opponents. I always show up for my fights. I have a lot of the attributes that he likes to compete against. UFC fighter, MMA fighter. Shorter guy, smaller in weight. Tough and some people would say stiff, or do move my head. I just beat a titan in combat sports, so you wanna solidify yourself. You want to prove it to yourself and to people, then box me.

“You’ve already sparred me so you think you’ve got something on me, then prove it. Back it up and other people are calling for it. The world is commenting on it, tagging him saying, ‘where’s your response?’ I was just on TMZ and they were like, ‘if Jake’s watching this right now, what do you say to him?’ Maybe I should have said, ‘screw you Jake,’ but I didn’t. I was like, ‘I’m here buddy, come and get me.’ I don’t need him. MVP was huge for me. That made me feel great about myself.

“I’m just a great fighter who still loves to fight. I’m all about the fight Jake’s been doing great. I’m happy for him in all his success that he’s had. I want to fight great guys, great fighters. Jake has done well and he promotes really well and I think we could do a great job promoting, talking sh*t to each other.”

When asked if he had a final message for Jake Paul, Perry obliged.

“Jake, you don’t want this problem bro! I’m the real problem. You don’t want it. I’ll beat your a** any day of the week, any time. Any month of the year. Mike Perry beats Jake Paul the f*ck up.”

Mike Perry Feeling Good Following Six-Round War With MVP

After going six rounds, a very rare requirement in BKFC history, Mike Perry was asked if he sustained any significant injuries during the crossover clash with MVP

“No serious injuries. I feel pretty great, ready to start training even. Everything I’ve learned from my first bare-knuckle fight really held up for me. My hands really held up and they’re ready to punch still so I’m proud of that. All the effort I put into figuring out how to punch and keep my hands alive in a bare-knuckle fight, they did well.”

Mike Perry was asked if he felt having the one bare-knuckle fight with Julian Lane under his belt helped him secure the win over a first-time bare-knuckle fighter in MVP.

“For me and everything I taught myself and the way I think about it analytically, yes. But I don’t know if it will have the same effect for him. I said before the fight, I don’t know if experience matters. I didn’t have the experience in my first bare-knuckle fight. I was just the better fighter and I knew I was the better fighter.

“I fought a guy (Julian Lane) who had about 10 bare-knuckle fights. So he had learned all there was for him to learn before he fought me. I took the lessons in stride and made sure that I taught myself what was needed to be known”
