Christine Ferea returned to the squared circle on Saturday night to continue her reign of terror over the BKFC women’s division. Putting her women’s flyweight championship on the line, ‘Misfit’ squared off with UFC and Bellator veteran ‘Rowdy’ Bec Rawlings at BKFC 41 in the ‘Mile High City’ of Denver, Colo.

Round 1

Things started off with both women sizing up one another, Rawlings looked to be counter-striking early but ate a solid right from Ferea that busted her open just above the right eyebrow. Ferea began to pick up the pace in the final 30 seconds of the round, throwing a series of strikes that backed up her opponent. Jab to the body of Rawlings lands, but ‘Rowdy’ follows up with a counter right as the round ends.

Round 2

Rawlings comes out firing on all cylinders as the fight erupts into a full-on brawl. Ferea clinches up against the ropes prompting a break. Ferea begins to show a little blood as the women stand in the pocket and trade blows back and forth. Left hand from Rawlings lands. ‘Rowdy’ pushes Ferea against the ropes, but the champ reverses and unloaded a series of strikes in return. Rawlings is landing in the center of the circle, but Ferea is able to return fire against the ropes as round two comes to a close.

Before the third round begins, the referee asks the ringside physician to check the cut on Rawlings’ right eyebrow. Determining that the cut was significant, the bout was called off.

Official Result: Christine Ferea def. ‘Rowdy’ Bec Rawlings via TKO (strikes) at 2:00 of Round 2
