Former UFC fan favorite ‘Big’ Ben Rothwell stepped back inside the squared circle on Saturday night for a showdown with BKFC heavyweight champion Mick Terrill in the KnuckleMania 5 co-main event.
With knockouts in his first three promotional appearances against Bobo O’Bannon, Josh Copeland, and Todd Duffee, Rothwell looked to win his first title under the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. But to leave Philadephia with the heavyweight crown, he’d have to go through a British brawler who’s only lost one bout during his 10-fight run with the company.
Round 1
We get an early eye poke as Rothwell accidentally gets Terrill in the eye as the champion attempts to approach. After a few seconds, the fight resumes and Terrill looks to land a right hand near the ropes. Rothwell ducks under and delivers a counter right that catches Terrill clean and immediately renders the champ unconscious, sending him crashing to the canvas.
