Jeremy Stephens came off a close decision to Frankie Edgar at UFC 205 and had to go back to the drawing board. It’s been on and off for the power puncher lately. He lost a decision to Max “Might As Well Be UFC Featherweight Champion” Holloway, beat Renan “I Used to be The Motherfucker at Bantamweight” Barao and just loss to Edgar. So, naturally his next opponent should be, BJ Penn?!
Someone must really want back in the win column. To be fair, he did put an open blast for any fighter in the division, but specifically set his eyes on Penn because they’re both “legends”. I think the word he was looking for is “veteran”. They are both veterans, but Penn is a legend. Either way, to go from calling out number one, King Swingin’ D**k Conor McGregor to his face, to trying to knockout the shadow-of-his-former-self Penn is probably still why people ask, the the fook is that guy?
Here is his call-out below.
