What an incredible journey it has been for Alistair Overeem. A fighter who has been doing this over two decades, and is the former Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion, DREAM Heavyweight Champion and K-1 World Grand Prix Champion. The only thing left was a UFC belt that alluded him. Reem came out to the Pride theme, with the Pride hair and the Pride muscles. We all felt the Pride goosebumps and the Pride feels. Unfortunately, Stipe Miocic is the real damn deal.

After almost a full round of tense, stalking from both men and even Overeem knocking Miocic on his ass, Miocic ended up getting into Overeem’s guard and raining down heat from the bright lights above. Miocic stopped Reem’s dream again and proves he belongs with the best in the world. Too bad Miocic is too busy being a reigning and defending UFC champion to compete in K1.
