Look, fighters shouldn’t be able to call their own timeouts. That creates chaos. However, referees should know when a fighter is getting their eye gouged out and should probably be like, yo, that ain’t cool, next three times you do it you’re going to get a warning for that. Last night, Seo Hee Ham a.k.a. “Hamderlei” suffered two pokes and the ref missed both.
The first time Ham got poked she called a timeout and the ref stopped, but the second time (which was 10 x worse) he didn’t and Ham got blitzed. A violent rush that probably won Danielle Taylor the fight in the split decision. But that shit has more consequences than just losing the fight, like, I don’t know, SEO HEE HAM NEVER BEING ABLE TO SEE AGAIN?

Ok, so, that looks brutal. It also looks like little gremlins were clawing at and about her eye area the entire fight which, isn’t really that far from the truth if you think about it. Hopefully her eye is ok and hopefully we see her in the Octagon again.
