Nick Diaz is moving to boxing

Remember that one time when Nick Diaz was going to fight Joe Riggs for the first ever Strikeforce welterweight title? Now do you remember that time when Riggs was replaced with Jay Hieron and they were still going to fight for the belt? What about that time when the California athletic commission told you that marijuana was going to be a tested substance? You don’t, but Nick Diaz and his trainer Cesar Gracie does. It cost him a shot at being the first to rock the welterweight belt and just gave Jay Hieron another aneurysm. Now it looks like Diaz is going to try to do his weird flailing hands thing inside a boxing ring.

Strikeforce has granted Nick Diaz permission to compete in a boxing match…again. Dude is actually undefeated inside the ring with his last win (and only win) coming to someone named Alfonso Rocha. We’re not sure if he’s going to be boxing in California but we hope Diaz will have the privilege to spark a nicely rolled philly blunt before the match. We also hope Nick Diaz pulls his ‘Look, I can imitate one of those 19th century italian puppets with my hands and still beat you’ weird arm thing. It’s one of those most entertaining things Diaz does in his fights besides giving his opponent the middle finger at every available opportunity. [Source]
