Josh Barnett is back to wrestling

Josh Barnett, now of the Asterix Hall of Fame, has found a new gig half way across the world. Yep, Josh Barnett is back to good ole’ wrastlin’ in a market that frankly doesnt care what illegal activities you’ve been involved in as long as you can place butts in seats: Japan. We’ve seen it happen before in Dream 9 where Jose Canseco offered his body as sacrifice to the Japanese God known as Hong Man Choi (Choi Hong Man if you’re from Japan, weird). It looks like Affliction’s poster boy will be wrestling on August 9th in Tokyo at the Ariake Colosseum. Dude went from being on one of the biggest cards of the year to wrestling on a Antonio Inoki’s show (we’ll pretend to know who that is).

Everyone is on the ‘Throw Barnett under a bus’ campaign that’s been going down ever since he was accused of steroid use last week. The guy made an entire organization collapse in the course of 48 hours so you can’t blame the MMA world for feeling a little resentment towards the guy. He essentially gave the pink slip to around twenty of some of the best MMA fighters out there who are now out of work including Jay Hieron who said “I have a lot of bills and no paycheck”.

Well Barnett, I hope you have a fruitful career wrestling in Japan. There’s not much to say really. You’ve been bashed by thousands of people out there…so good luck on your new career choice. I would ask you to refund the hundreds that I dropped on getting to Affliction: Trilogy, but I’ll write it off as another ‘S*** happens‘ expensive bill. [Source]
