John Kavanagh is Gunnar Nelson and Conor McGregor’s coach, and he seems like a cool guy

John Kavanagh used to be the dude who had awesome rolling sessions with Gunnar Nelson in videos only MMA hipsters would watch in 2009, now he’s on top of the world as the coach of Conor McGregor and obviously, Gunnar Nelson.

Coach Kavanagh’s swagger levels are reaching 9,000 and there’s little anyone can do about it. When you have the hottest fighter on the planet and a welterweight that’s ready to burst into contendership in your stable, all you can do is nibble at your lip ring and nod to yourself, fully aware of your rawsomeness.

But that doesn’t mean John Kavanagh’s mind is in the clouds, not at all. He seems like a friendly, grounded individual who will surely get some fans with his pleasant demeanor.

Check out this interview from MMA Viking, who stuck a microphone in Kavanagh’s face in Sweden. It’s an interesting interview that delves into his camp’s meteoric rise, and gym fees not paid.
