Hendo Gets Choked Out By Daniel Cormier

Well damn, I think most of us were expecting this to be a rough night for Dan Henderson, but not as rough as it turned out to be. In fact, it was pretty brutal. Daniel Cormier, simply put, had Hendo’s number throughout the fight, in just about every facet of the game. But let’s not look at this as a downer for Hendo as much as it is a huge upside for Daniel Cormier. We knew that Daniel Cormier was good at Light Heavyweight, but now we know for sure seeing what he did to Hendo at UFC 173.

The fight ended in almost heartbreaking fashion as Cormier locked in a rear naked choke on Hendo. It was tight, he was on Hendo’s back and Hendo just refused to tap out. You see, Hendo is a man’s man, he doesn’t tap out and he fights until the bitter end. So the bitter end was the ref having to stop the fight for his own safety.

Joe Rogan was badgering Hendo post-fight to see if he’d announce his retirement, but Hendo seemed like he wanted to keep fighting. Cormier, on the other hand, was quick to call out Jon Jones and it looks like these two will be on a collision course as long as Jones makes it by Alexander Gustafsson in their next meeting.
