It’s simultaneously beautiful and kind of crazy when you think about MMA and how champions are determined. Frankie Edgar wants a McGregor fight. He’s beheaded many men in order to get to the Irish King. Frankie Edgar SHOULD get the fight, but will he. Maybe he needs to fight Nate Diaz at 155 in order to get a 145 title shot? Who knows?
All we do know is that these men must fight each other viciously in order to climb a ladder to Conor McGregor. Who knows what has to happen, or if Frankie simply has to wait, but at either division that the Irishman wants to take over, waits a killer. Rafael Dos Anjos is a monster, and not marketable. That means Conor probably won’t want that fight. At 145, Frankie Edgar, former champ, is there. Waiting.
What will happen?
At 145, it seems like Frankie will get the shot. But when will that happen? Looks like it doesn’t matter. He’s waiting. Frankie is done getting screwed.
