After a wild ass card that came out of nowhere and a fight of the year contender for sure, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone had to follow things up with Matt “The Immortal” Brown. The fight was everything you’d think it would be: Violence, slugging, dirty and the kind of action that makes you want to shin kick your door way to feel like a badass.

The headkick would be there all night for Cerrone and he’d take full advantage of it. He cheese grated Brown’s face with jabs and had him on wobbly legs many a time but so did Brown. It was a back and forth scrap that eventually led to respect. Throughout the lead up to the fight, all Cerrone wanted was a handshake and a smile from Brown. Through the war, he earned one.

In the end, it was that same headkick that ended up transporting Brown to the Upside Down. Lights out. No decision. No waiting. Walk off KO. Cerrone just swaggered around the Octagon and grabbed his ol’ cowboy hat and that was that.
