Dominick Cruz is a straight doctor in this fighting game. Matter of fact, I will only refer to him as Dr. Cruz for the rest of this article. This guy needs to wear scrubs to the Octagon or maybe just carry a degree. After over a decade invested in this rivalry, Dr. Cruz put the final nail in the coffin and comes out 2-1 in the trilogy by defeating Urijah Faber in clinical fashion.
Dr. Cruz did exactly what he said he would and wasn’t there to be hit. I guess he also had a point to prove since Faber seemed to think that Dr. Cruz didn’t have any power, and that’s just what he did. Dr. Cruz almost one by first round knockout.

This was only the first knockdown of a couple in the fight, but Dr. Cruz could not succeed in putting Faber out. Not only did he win, but Dr. Cruz finally shut Faber up. Faber was nothing but complimentary to Cruz post-fight and said he fought a “perfect fight”.
There was a slight twinge in Faber’s voice and words that seems like he’s at least thinking about retirement. Will he continue? 10, 9, 8, 7…
