Anderson Silva is being repaired, will be out until 2010

After winning his last 11 fights, Anderson Silva will now undergo surgery to make his elbow even better than it was before. Apparently the guided laser-scope attached to his forearm started to malfunction after being exposed to high level amounts of rawesomeness. Harvard scientists plan to upgrade Anderson Silva’s elbow with the new T-3000 model specially hand-delivered from the future by the Governator himself.

While Anderson Silva will be out until 2010, Nate Marquardt and Dan Henderson will have to battle it out for secondary middleweight supremacy and a title shot with The Spider. Both have been accused of jamming kryptonite in their gloves after delivering remarkable knockouts that will undoubtedly be in the running for KO of the year.

It’s also interesting to note that we published a story stating that Anderson Silva will be retiring in 2010-2011 (and boxing Roy Jones Jr. after, contract has already been signed). No date has been pegged on his return after surgery but we’re hoping that retirement date will be pushed back just a little (dude still have the LHW division to clean out). [Source]
