This picture was tweeted by @lexmcmahonMMA, the president of Alchemist Management. We don't know who actually took this picture at UFC 155 since there's absolutely no watermark. However, we do know that it's an extraordinary example of one human force-feeding another human a knuckle sandwich. If anyone out there knows the photographer of this picture, let us know and we will give him/her a superfluous amount of credit in this article. In the meantime, we're just going to stare at this magnificent visual evidence of the dominant performance Velasquez placed on dos Santos at UFC 155.

Alistair also has more weapons, has the argueabley the best defense in the sport, is more cerebral, was the K-1 Champ. cant judge how fighter C will perform against fighter B by how fighter A performed against fighter B, it just doesnt work that way. especially when fighter A and C have completely different skill sets, physical attributes, intellects, and weaknesses than each other. the only things Dos Santos and Overeem have in common are they are both strikers with powerful punches. thats really it. totally different styles

mma is a joke. i respect the fighters amd i used to love mma, but aside from miller lauzon the other fights sucked. the main event was good for 1 1/2 rds. it was impressive to see jds take all that punishment and keep going, but it seemed like forever at the speed or lack there of both fighters displayed by the 3rd rd on. i'm done with mma, i'm just cherry picking top tier potentially good fights that i want to see. can't waste a whole evening watching 10 shitty fucking fights for one and a half good ones. mma is dying, not boxing. kick boxing can and will make a surge.

I didn't see the ppv but it's a two way street with ground fighting. The guy on his back want's to get up but the guy holding him down is skilled at what he's doing as well.

One thing I like about Ronda Rousey is that her grappling style is very aggressive. She's very strategic yet quick and fluid. Her fights are action packed but it's not random. Each of her movements furthers the story like plot twist in a play. She's like the Shakespeare of grappling.

u don't make any money off mma, so u shouldn't give a fuck if i stop watching. also, i'm a combat sports fan, not an mma fan. been watching for over 2 decades now and the sport is becoming too strategic. it used to be fighting and now it's a bunch of guys limited by their skill set. who cares if there was a great fox card & some pretty decent fights on the smashes finale, the ppvs before them sucked largely sucked. i'm accustomed to excellence in my combat sports and mma is plagued by too many underwhelming performances. the scene has been bastardized. i'm cherry picking good fight for now. can keep watching 90% crap for 10% gold.

In football and baseball, team loyalty is so high that people buy tickets to see "their team" even when they lose for months in a row and they don't watch other games and that's normal for those sports. A bunch of name fighters get injured or play it safe and now "you're done" with the whole sport? And ten years is a long time to a single person, sure, but it's still a young sport, you've got to give it a little lee-way.

And do you seriously think only early mma fighters really "fought"? Well those guys didn't know what they were doing,either, so yeah, they were like puppies to the slaughter for guys who knew what they were doing...but is that really what you're looking for? For people to be emboldened by so much ignorance that it's like Bully Beatdown without the pseudo-moral lesson at the end? If you just feel youve wasted your cash that's understandable, but to say the whole sport is dead becuase people don't run face-first into KOs and triangles is way premature. Let's just see where this is at 80 years from now when it has some actual history to it like football and baseball. In the meantime, do whatever you want with your money man.

i used to have my mom rent me vhs seg ufc video tapes from blockbuster as a youth. i woke up early ever saturday morning to watch strange japanese guys with shin pads on leg kicking each other in hybrid wrestling before i even knew i was watching pancrase. i grew up on 90s boxing and kick boxing which was the fast track for most old school mma fans. the transition was natural. we didn't need tuf to get us interested in combat sports because we were already combat sports fans. you probably don't even have a decade in so any complaining sounds like uninformed fair weather, when in reality i've just been around long enough to see the evolution and devolution of the sport. i was around long enough to lol when so many of you freaks were proclaiming mma would kill off boxing. and i'm such a combat sports fan i hope to one day be around long enough to see kick boxing take back it's rightful place at number two. nothing against mma, but rings > cages every time. i could get into the science, but fuck it i have places to be. i don't care if you thumb me down, but it's actually pissed me off to hear one of you fucks call me fair weather, it souldn't be more the other way. if you're in ur mid 20s or higher and have less than 10 years in i know exactly what type of fan you are and you have no right to even look at me.
