My earliest memory of Ric Flair was when I attended a Christian overnight sleep-in (yeah, already weird) at a large church in a little town outside of Dallas, Texas called Sachse. I was with a couple of friends and we dipped away from the bible study to show off our plethora of collectible cards which included rare foil-wrapped Marvel cards, a rookie card of Anthony Mason from the New York Knicks, and above all else a 1991 Impel WCW Wrestling Ric Flair card which depicted Ric Flair doing what he does best: smacking the [expletive] out of Sting.

As I pulled out my Ric Flair card to show my buds the mint condition it was in, a Christian guidance counselor snatched it from my fingers and told me 'Men not ought to wear flashy robes and blue underwear in public.' That was the last I saw of my 1991 Impel WCW Wrestling Ric Flair card -- and consequently the last time I attended any religious function. That's what molded me to the idiosyncratic, anxiety-filled Zeus I am today. Christianity hates Ric Flair.

Opposing Views caught up with Ric Flair to get his take on MMA and it appears that he's somewhat impartial to the sport, but believes that he's had professional wrestling matches that were tougher than any MMA match.

I'll tell you. I have been in matches with Bruiser Brody that were tougher than any MMA match! Especially in Tokyo. Same thing with Stan Hansen. Try getting in the ring with him one time in Tokyo, brother. Good lord! And F.Y.I., nobody in MMA could have beaten Harley Race or Dick Slater. Those guys were just that tough."

Apparently Ric Flair has never watched Chael Sonnen vs. Nate Marquardt at UFC 109.

Dick Slater, as far as I know, is a drug-addled scumbag who stabbed his girlfriend (she got better).

There are some amazing stories about Haku/Meng. There is one about him undoing the wheels nuts on a car with his bare hands, one about reaching into some guys mouth and pulling his teeth out again with his bare hands.
Below is a quote from Meng about a bar fight he got into;

"Yeah. It was in Baltimore Airport. There was a hotel there. We were staying at another hotel - the Marriot or something. There was another hotel there, though. It was hopping at the time. The music was playing and it was packed. It was during the week I believe. Me and Siva Afi went over and there were lots of babyfaces there at the bar. So we went and sat in the other corner away from them. When they were ready to close, we had a few drinks, and on our way out there were five guys just sitting there. Of course, the same thing came out. The "fake" stuff. "Hey, are you guys with those guys - wrestlers? The fake wrestlers on TV?" You know. I said, "Yeah. I'll show you." And I reached over without thinking - there are four other guys there (laughs) - grabbed his face, and bit his nose off. Then the fight started. Me and Siva kind of cleaned house there and left. I'll never forget it (laughs)."

Ric Flair is arguably the worst pro-wrestler of all time. I will never understand why he is held in such high esteem. He has about 5 'moves' most of which are really lame even by pro-wrestling standards.
He's also a massive alcoholic and has been broke as fuck since the early 80's which is why he's still whoring himself out with pathetic and ignorant comments in the media.

In all seriousness I'm sure on some of the moves these guys land incorrectly and really does hurt and add up hence why most are addicted to painkillers, but try taking a few head kicks and shin bones to your head for real then we'll talk.

In one of the most rawsome spectacles of wrasslin' brutality...Sta n "The Lariat" Hansen, notorious for working "stiff" once punched The Man They Call Vader's eye out of its socket at the beginning of a match. Luckily for Vader, the world's most dangerous CPA, his eyelid was swollen and it held the eyeball in place long enough for him to pull off his mask - "turn that sum' bitch sideways" and pop it straight back into the socket. They would then continue to beat eachother like a set of government mules for another 20 minutes.
