Getting arrested eight hours before you’re scheduled to compete in the UFC is pretty rough. That’s a baseless assumption. I have no idea how it feels. That being said, I hope no fighter ever has to go through with it again once this mess with Jeremy Stephens is sorted out. Unfortunately, UFC on FOX has come to an end, and Yves Edwards was left without an opponent. That’s not to say, for lack of Dana White trying to get him out of jail and into the cage last night. In fact, Dana wants to fill you in on the lengths in which he tried to help Jeremy Stephens out, no thanks to the Des Moines, Iowa Police department changing their minds like a spoiled child at Toys R’ Us.

I did.

Dana's main reason was to help him financially. He could have just paid him but he was really adamant about having him fight today.

That made no sense if all he wanted to was help him out financially.

The whole.. "having cop drives him to the fight and back" thing was ludicrous.

Yeah, it was weird that Dana was so concerned about Stephens' financial situation, but he was fully willing to pay a huge bail, and then wouldn't talk about paying him show/win money like he did for Hallman and Heiron. But to be (somewhat) fair to Dana, I don't think he fully understood the question, either (probably because he wasn't fully paying attention)

Maybe because Stephens and yves fight was a potentially super badass one if it were to happen. If he's paying x amount for them not fighting, an certain extra wouldn't matter to make it still work, Sunk Cost principal.

I agree, his ariel helwani fueltv interview shows he's a true fighter, look at his eyes. He got paid anyways but was so heartbroken and frustrated.

Tito Is a bitch, I don't care he defended his belt 5 times, about half of them were not worthy contenders, AND he wouldn't be champ if frank shamrock didn't vacant it. He did everything he could to avoid chuck and got smashed. After all the shit he's pulled, he wants to rewrite his own history as if everything he did was firstly for the sport.
