Thiago Alves is fighting John Howard at UFC 124 and we're all going to like it

Thiago Alves is fighting John Howard at UFC 124 and we're all going to like it

A couple of days ago on MMAJunkie radio, Mike Pierce called out Thiago Alves and had some pretty decent smack talk regarding Alves on Facebook. On Twitter, Pierce said 'This place is as dead as Thiago Alves' and 'Thiago Alves to be featured on Biggest Loser on Dec 23rd'. He even asked Dana to gi...

Joe Warren vs. Joe Soto comes on TONIGHT!

It's the only MMA any of us will be seeing this week, so if you vehemently hate the sport of mixed martial arts, despise equally matched title fights and refuse to see spectacular finishes, don't watch Bellator 27 tonight on Fox Sports West. Your friends will make fun of you behind your back, but ...

KJ Noons thinks Nick Diaz is a trash-talking, pot-smoking chump

KJ Noons thinks Nick Diaz is a trash-talking, pot-smoking chump

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Nick Diaz and KJ Noons rivalry, the beef started back in Elite XC where a controversial doctor stoppage handed Diaz his only loss in the past 3 years. Winning a fight due to a doctor stoppage in the first round is a lot like winning a competitive ea...

EA Sports MMA will not be released in Denmark due to a strange Scandinavian law

When the Kool-Aid man breaks through a wall in a commercial, all the kids start cheering. Imagine a seven-foot pitcher full of Kool-Aid breaking through your house screaming 'Oh yeah!', it's a horrifying thought. He might spill over and get some of himself on the carpet. The worst thing is, you ca...

If you missed the UFC Fan Expo, Bloodstain Lane has you covered

In all fairness, the entire MiddleEasy crew was supposed to go to the UFC Fan Expo in a taco truck and serve up carne asada goodness for fans of the site. Sadly the idea didn’t work out after we learned that tacos are not an approved cuisine at the John B. Hynes Center. Not sure what Boston ha...

Karo Parisyan is BACK in the UFC!

Karo Parisyan is BACK in the UFC!

I could be looking too far into it, but when Dana says that you '[Expletive] the UFC' by pulling out of the fight the day before weigh-ins, it looks like that may denote a lifetime ban. In fact, it did constitute a lifetime ban in the promotion, but in ZUFFA years, a lifetime is only ten months....

Overeem accepts Fedor's challenge, plans to fight him after K-1

The greatest thing about Alistair Overeem accepting Fedor's challenge to fight him after he's done with the K-1 Grand Prix is that he actually watched a Bloodstain Lane video on a message board and responded. Next step for Alistair Overeem is to accept my friend request on Xbox Live. The guy plays...

Mariusz Pudzianowski is leaner, meaner, and doesn't think he hits like a girl

I used to think the meaning of life was somewhere inside the cut Jose Benevidez left on Miguel Torres’ forehead, but it turns out those were just Miguel’s deepest thoughts about the perfect plate of carnitas after a warm bath. If the meaning of life was actually hidden in plain site, it would...

Dan Henderson and Gegard Mousasi may get the next Strikeforce title shots, despite coming off losses

A lot of people criticized Strikeforce’s decision to give Brett Rogers a title shot immediately following his loss to Fedor Emelianenko last year. This past spring, Ubereem agreed with those critics as he made short work of Rogers and ended his first title defense in just shy of four minutes. ...

Carlos Newton demonstrates a one-inch punch and throws a Wu-Tang reference in for good measure

Carlos Newton should be undefeated based on how cool he looks. The same goes with Sokoudjou or any other guy that competes in MMA with a full set of dredlocks. We all wanted them, but our parents firmly held onto the belief that long hair was a gateway drug that led to smoking marijuana, wearing t...

Lyoto Machida believes Joe Rogan is biased PDF Print E-mail
Written by Zeus

Even though it's been less than a week since Machida grabbed the W over Shogun at UFC 104, my spidey-sense tells me that you're tired of hearing about the outcome that had you throwing beers at the TV, Mach Sakurai style. Lyoto Machida finally spoke out about his controversial win and he believes he won four rounds and he says Goldberg and Rogan were biased and you should probably watch the fight without any sound. Seriously.

“I had the opportunity to see the fight again and I thought I won four rounds and Shogun took the last one. Some people say he won the 4th and 5th round, but for sure I won at least the first three rounds.”

“The American commentators were pretty much biased. If you see the fight without audio, you will probably see a different fight...Shogun was a great opponent and had a nice strategy. He deserves all my respect as a fighter, but I was superior.”

Screw watching Machida vs. Shogun without sound, try syncing it with Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. Right when the 'Time' guitar solo starts you can totally see Machida's legs start to bruise. [Source]

hahaha! I think that every fan is bias about what Joe Rogan and his gay lover Mike Goldberg's bias are. Watching the fight again they had pleanty of good things to say about Machida. They started off talking about how America loves the "Karate Kid" aspect of Machida. And that when Shogun hits Machida, "he looks suprised because he is not use to ever being touched." And two or three times Goldberg asks Rogan," Does he think that Machida took the last few rounds." And the only way that Rogan replies every time is," Lets just say that I am glad that it is not my job to be judging this fight right now." Yeah when shogun would kick Machida they would go nuts but who wasn't going nuts watching that shit it was ill..
I just laugh because when you watch the fight Rogan and Goldberg actually talk up Machida a lot in the fight imo.

Funny, 16,000 people in the arena never heard a word of Joe & Mike and they still booed you, oh Grand Master.

Let me tell you something, if listening to two idiots during a fight influences your opinion on it's outcome, you've got bigger fucking problems than whether Shogun deserved the win or not.

Machida's really butthurt about people questioning his win and his "invincible/undefeatable aura" being broken, and the more he gets upset over it the more it calls it into question.

Shut the fuck up and stop whining. This just reveals how fake this asshole is. Talks non-stop bullshit about "honour" & "respect" and the "noble Karate kid" image but then when he receives an ounce of criticism for the first time in his life, the guy goes apeshit and lashes out at commentators and fans.

Pretty much agreed with what u said, but just to add a bit more, I watched the fight with mexican commentors, and one of them is a well respected jiujitsu teacher in my country and they all agreed Shogun won the fight, and the members of my family who were wtaching the match were pretty sure it was a wrong decision giving Machida the win, so that´s all about it with this excuse Machida is making, and it is also funny how he avoided talk about this, and now that he does sounds like he went to search internet forums and copied and pasted the allegations the crazy machida fans were making up,

well....i'm sure rua did win the fight....however, joe rogan is obviously biased. there have been many fights where it seemed like you could tell which fighter rogan was going drinking with afterwards...you know, like his buddies. i really can't stand him either.

I watched this fight at hooters and I could not hear a thing except for the sound of shin smacking against Machida's thighs. Sorry Machida, I still scored all rounds but the third for Rua. You just backed away, defended take downs for 25 mins, and got outstruck so bad that it was ridonkulous.

Machida vs Rua II : Rua by KO in the 1st.

Damn straight all around. Who gives a shit what Rogan thinks? He's color commentary more than anything, and Goldberg has ALWAYS been laughable. He excells at comentating women's beach volleyball though, go figure. LOL. Listen, every one of my coaches in each disciple saw Shogun winning this 3 if not 4 rounds to 1. Machida is a runner/counter striker guy and Shogun's game plan was damn near perfect, because he simply didn't give him time to counter as much as he usually does to everyone else and Shogun pressed him the entire fight. If Forrest Griffin took Quinton's belt via leg kick victory, then Shogun should be wearing 3.

Rogan was biased towards shogun in every interaction they had.

Want a CLEAR CUT EXAMPLE.

round 2 at 1:29

shogun starts one his (AMAZING WTF PWANGE KICKS) by moving his right hand (not sure if he raises it up first or just drops it)

Machida starts one of his (RUN AWAY LOSER) left punchs by taking a small step forward.

shoguns leg comes up into machida mid section (joe rogan cums his pants, never mind that machida step inside throws off most of shoguns power)

Machida left hits shoguns chin as he accelerats into it compeltly unprotected.

Joe rogan talks about how AMAZING the body kick was, never mind that shogun could have been knocked out right there.

Basically you people have it backwards shogun played it conservative, machida tried to actual end the fight.

This is all meaningless dripple though, the re-match will be amazing and i welcome it
