Last weekend after UFC 146, we went with one of our trusted sources and published on our Sunday Morning Rumor Mill that Mayhem Miller got in an incident involving a UFC employee and nearly had an altercation with CB Dollaway. We were right about the UFC employee, wrong about Dollaway. Hey, we can't get them all right. That's why once a week we just sling all the stuff that's rumored in the MMA industry and see what sticks. If we don't publish the SMRM, you guys complain and when we do publish it -- you guys still complain. Stop getting so angry at life, folks. At least your face is not getting eaten off by a zombie in Florida.

We like to call Mark Munoz the 'Filipino wrecking machine' even though he hates that name. I'm sure if a zombie apocalypse went down, we can give him the moniker of 'Zombie wrecking machine' or maybe the 'Filipino zombie wrecking machine.' However, according to that name, people may think Mark Munoz is only wrecking Filipino zombies. Let's hope that Munoz doesn't discriminate in the face of a zombie takeover. We need him to be an equal-opportunity zombie destroyer.

If Mayhem wants to continue fighting, he should start training harder, quit the antics, get some cardio, and not give up in fights. If Mayhem wants to make money without being punched in the face, he should up the antics, find more TV deals, do commercials, sponsorship stuff, commentating, reality TV, all of that stuff.

Did you not even watch the video? Mark said it himself Mayhem could go 8 5min rounds straight so cardio obviously wasn't the real issue. That was Mayhem's 50th pro career fight I think he's due for a break hopefully he takes this time to rest get all the stuff that's bothering worked on and come back up and show the world the real Mayhem.

Mayhem had been resting for a while when he got suspended for the Strikeforce fiasco, so its not like hes been fighting 3-4 fights a yr for the past 3yrs. Also, Mark is Jasons friend and all that talk about going 8 rd in the gym sounds like hes just gassing up his boy, b/c i train and ive watched guys go hard in the gym and those who do push themselves in prep for a fight tend to be able to show it on the mat when its time to.

But im not trying to bash just pointing out the flaws in your argument.

I did watch the video. I also watched Mayhem's last couple fights in which his cardio was awful. Coming into the Dollaway fight pretty much everyone was concerned about whether or not Mayhem fixed that cardio after the terrible performance against Bisping. All I saw in Mayhem's last fight was his getting dominated, tired, and then giving up towards the end of the fight. He knew he was fighting for his UFC career, he was down every round, he needed to throw up his legs for every triangle and go for any opening. He didn't do that, he should train harder, get better cardio, not give up in fights, and probably quit the antics if he wants to keep fighting.

If you've EVER had a good wrestler on top of you for that long, which im sure you haven't based on your judgement, you'd realize its pretty goddamn tiring, no matter how hard you train. As for the triangle thing, its a tad bit hard to throw your hips up when a lay'n'prayer is laying on them for 12.5 min.

He has to get it cleared by a doc, but thats really all i know about it. People dont normally put a wrap on it unless it needs one, so we can only hope its not too bad. Never good when an athlete is injured in any way. Unless its one that talks too much and gets their jaw broken. Thats the only exception.

His knee looked beyond hurt. Looked like he was fighting while missing a ligament or two.
Munoz brings up a great point. Mentally it seemed like he wasn't solid. Having your job/career/enti re lifes work judged on just 2 fights is tough. If he really quits now he won't learn from this experience for a long time. Get surgery on knee, when you're recovered fight a crap ton of shows.
Rocky had to do this in like every other movie. It's normal.

Mayhem's overrated and has always been overrated. He looks good against inferior opponents, but loses to every upper tier guy he's ever faced. And don't bring up Sakuraba- that guy was a shell of his former self when they fought.

I like the guy as a person and I wish him well. I hope he stays retired.
