I'd imagine it's just as hard to find someone that dislikes bank holidays, long weekends and freshly changed linen as it is to find any MMA fan who doesn't like Roy Nelson. The guy can bang with the best of them but he's good a solid ground game, he knows how to work the media and the dude is built like the exact opposite of the stereotypical image of the consummate athlete the UFC are keen to market. There's literally something for everyone. After his ridiculously spectacular knockout of Dave Herman at UFC 146, Roy spoke with Steph “Crooklyn” Daniels about a variety of things such as the idea his beard and mullet are losing him sponsors (they aren't), the name of the pro-wrestling tag-team he and King Mo have been talking about creating (not The Oreo Bandits) and who he wants to fight next (Brock Lesnar, if he makes a return to the UFC). The most interesting parts of this interview however are the sections where he talks about PED usage in MMA and in the UFC specifically. 

“My wife is pregnant right now, and throughout my career, I've kind of just taken it and taken it and taken it, because I can always fend for myself and my wife. Now I have a baby on the way, and that's like taking money from my kid."

“I used to think when I'd fight and beat up people that are doing the stuff that they are not supposed to be doing, I just looked at it as a moral victory for myself. It was like, 'Hey, I just beat that guy, even though he was on the stuff' or he might have beaten me because he was on the stuff, but now I realize that he's actually just taking money from me. I think from now on we should just do random drug tests, because we just did it for this heavyweight card, and it changed the whole landscape of it.”

Add that quote to the fact that Roy Nelson might be one of the realest dudes in the UFC right now and you have someone who I can't help but admire. I mean, I'm not likely to watch he and Mo Lawal in pro wrestling or anything but still, we're talking about a guy who really doesn't care that his beard is a Dwarven masterpiece that any man would be proud to adorn. Dana White has a pretty good argument against it. His organization would be exposed. I'm not even against limited use, you can't possibly train that hard that often without injuring yourself. Added to that the fact that your opponent is likely on PEDs and you're looking at a disadvantage if you don't.

I also don't trust the athletic commissions since it's well known Lorenzo was president of the NSAC, and that should compromise the credibility of their results.

Dana knows that if random drugs testing would be introduced 80% of his fighters would be popped. Dana would do anything in his power to prevent random drugs testing.
From a fighter perspective; it's very hard to train that hard through all the injuries without some 'help'.

If you think any professional sport is clean you are an ignorant fool. Of course they use PED's, in sport's like MMA the pressure is huge for guys to impress and it oftemcomes at a cost to the body. The main difference is the guys with money have doctors who know how to mask the substances. This is the same in all sports, 'supplement' companies spend big $$ on products not yet banned, as for the UFC they have to be careful not to bite the hand that feeds them, cards with unknown mainstream fighters albeit great fights don't get the $$$$.
