Is it just me or is it weird that we're trying to put the sport where anything can happen at any round with any fighter and any odds into a quantifiable and controlled scenario to try and predict the outcome of the most unpredictable sport?

It is just you. If the sport was so unpreditable, the every fight would have a 50% chance of being won by either fighter, essentially the equivalent o a coin toss. You could make money (on average) by betting on the underdog in every fight. If actually think that is true (not inconceivable given your comments on Estima-Diaz articles) go ahead and try that strategy and let us know how it turns out.
