Director Justin Lin looks to have his sights set on another action star for his upcoming Fast & Furious 6. The Hollywood Reporter brings word that MMA fighter and Haywire star Gina Carano is up for a role in the May 24, 2013 release.

Produced by Neal Moritz, the franchise has grossed over $1.5 billion worldwide with the recent Fast Five having grossed nearly $600 million globally on its own.

Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson are confirmed to be returning, though much of the supporting cast of the last film are likely as well. Details of the plot are currently few but Six, like Five, is expected to be a heist film.

I still haven't seen Haywire, but we can only hope that her new project involves a hefty amount of ass-kicking followed by a moderate amount of non-ass kicking. Props to Minker17 for the find.

The end of Haywire is weird, all of a sudden she is 20 pounds heavier, with wide hips and a fat face. To try and cover it they put her in a stupid wet suit with utlity belt that is completly out of character with the rest of the movie. Not sure if that was filmed first or last, but either way, the difference is obvious.
