This Werdum/Nelson fight just keeps on giving great content doesn't it? I think the majority of us saw the animated Werdum throughout the fight pulling multiple interesting stunts, Vai Cavalo was smiling as Roy climbed into his eager guard, Werdum threw out of the blue capoeira kicks and uberknees that no one saw coming from the ADCC champ. Nothing, however reaches the caliber of the once forgotten 'hey what's that?' technique (developed in the 1930's by Moe Howard) that half caught Roy Nelson and still fools nieces, nephews and schoolyard navigating children across the globe every day.

Straight up. If Reem his as hesitant to commit to his striking as the 2nd match and Werdum is willing to consistantly engage this time it may be tough for the Reem to win. The times Fab was willing to stand with Alistair he actuallt tagged him up a bit

Can someone tell me how Roy Nelson didn't go down in this fight? I'd imagine this had something to do with Werdum's pointing because apparently kneeing the brain out of his skull isn't enough.

All jokes aside, it's not very popular, but known technique in Muay Thai and/or kickboxing. Bas Rutten mentioned it few months ago during one of the Inside MMA shows.

It didn't really work because, (according to what Bas was saying), he should have pointed to Nelson's legs, lowkick one of it, repeat it couple of times and then point again (at the LEGS) and highkick his brain out.

Granted it was still there after those vicious knees.
