We're not experts at officiating MMA but my God this guy is not doing his job properly. People should be flipping over coffee tables due to the incompetence this guy. After Sheila Bird catches Couture in a scissor choke, Kim's body goes completely limp, her eyes slowly roll up, yet the referee still does not stop the fight. It's obvious that Kim Couture should have sat more on the stool before the bout. Why didn't she sit down? Her legs needed 'arrest'. In reality, she couldn't sit down because she was on the brink of near death. All jokes aside, shame on you ref. Watch the video below to understand why -- and note the long crowd shot after the fight was used because the production crew probably thought Kim Couture died. yeah I have I grappled for a little over a year (we covered not only bjj but judo, greco and catch and mixed it all up with some sprinkled standup here and there) but I had to stop a few months back due to finances. anyone that's ever tried leg scissors on me (which was mostly the girls who were noobs) I was able to get out with minimal effort

grappling was like the best workout I ever had! 3 days a week of 4 hr gi and no gi sessions easily trumps 6 days of urban active workouts I lost like 30 lbs in that time as well so yeah I'm kinda versed

do I need to put up matches to prove it? the only match I have up online is a ohio grappling challenge match I lost on points

I never claimed I was a world beater in grappling I said I did it for a year and I understand what goes into it and that a leg scissors is a pretty easy move to get out of

I guess if you dont have tons of GQ matches online or are listed in the gracie registry you can't comment on any type of grappling stuff
