Ken Shamrock was WAY overrated, not because he can't fight today, he couldn't in his day either, he did a lot of steroids, he had only one technique in his arsenal, he always looked physically enormous, yet he never displayed enough strength that would go along in the lines of that body mass. Coleman ran through his opponents, Royce did that too, Ken only had one technique, he was boring as hell, he was never one in a million like Coleman or Royce were to the sport, he did NOTHING for the sport itself, except maybe popularize it a little bit, but he didn't add or create MMA as it is today as Coleman with his superhuman wrestling and his ground and pound, and Royce with his BJJ did. He was one of the firsts, but never one of the greatest.

A co-main event of Shamrock/Gracie & Severn/Coleman wouldn't get a buy from me. Not even for even the low, low price of $9.95.

I guess I could be wrong. There's a high probability that a bunch of douchebags will be spewing bullshit nostalgia over that fight, while never having actually watched anything but TUF, for the most part.

Well he sure knows how to sell his fight, saying it would be the best selling ever but in the same sentence saying the promoter he wants it to happen on are full of them selves.... Ya that'll get you on the card.

I would watch it, nut I wouldn't pay a wooden nickel to do so. I remember way back watching UFC 1 & 2 etc on VHS from Blockbuster. It was more like some kind of novelty "tough guy" contest. At 155/160 way back then, if it was a serious game like it is today, I think I would have liked to give MMA a try. Now I'm just a 200 lb old man sitting around paying $54.95 for lackluster fights like GSP-Jake Shields. At least Mark Homminick and Jose Aldo gave us our money's worth.

Anyone besides me think that had Aldo not:

1. The Reigning UFC Champion
2. Likely won the first 4 rounds

The referee may have stopped the fight in Round 5 with "The Machine" just relentlessly pounding on Aldo for the whole round. I've seen fights stopped for a LOT less, but they let this one go.
