Sergei Kharitonov plans to fight 2-3 more times before his Strikeforce Semi-Final Grand-Prix bout

Let's not forget that Sergei Kharitonov robbed consciousness from Andrei Arlovski in the first round of the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand-Prix and he did it with the most manly and relaxed ground-and-pound ever executed in the cage. That night, Sergei treated his fists like very well coordinated 747 planes taking off from the airport with their final destination set directly to Arlovski's mandible. While the date of the semi-final grand-prix is not set (nor is the bout between Alistair Overeem vs. Fabricio Werdum and Josh Barnett vs. Brett Rogers at this point), Kharitonov plans to get inside a geometrical cage or ring two to three more times before he faces the winner of Josh Barnett and Brett Rogers.

"I am planning to have 2-3 fights before my semi-final bout. I can’t get any ring-rust. You can train as hard as you want, but if you don’t compete, that won’t do you any good. Its always better to train and fight periodically. I had 4 fights in last few months, and very happy with this fact. I am always in shape, I am ready physically and morally. I wish the same for Fedor Emelianenko. I think that he lacks of competition. He needs to fight more in order to become great again."

Sure I can understand the physical preparation of Sergei Kharitonov, but being morally prepared is something you wouldn't expect from a guy that makes his living shoving his fists in another person's face. It's now apparent that Sergei Kharitonov is a very complicated individual. [Source]
