Around this time last year we published an article about a UFC fighter appearing in a commercial; it was for the 'Battle of the Bayou' card which featured Jon Jones and Dana White enjoying a cold Budweiser. In retrospect, I guess that really didn't go well for Bones. One could say that it even backfired on the UFC light heavyweight champion -- in some cosmic sequential case of irony.
Let's hope that after appearing in this Phillips razor commercial, Anderson Silva doesn't grab a machete and go on a methodical killing spree on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro. Actually, I wouldn't care if Silva became a mass murderer. With Grand Theft Auto 5 on the horizon, the planet's sensitization level for overly complex violence has lowered. There was a time when a naked man gnawing off the face of another naked man in the middle of the street would be too disturbing for society to handle -- now it's a friggin internet meme.
Check out Anderson Silva and his gnarly beard as he slowly shaves it off and does strange activities that can't be explained inside of an article.
