And like that, Bigfoot Silva once again throws the MiddleEasy Frate Trane list askew. He sent Fedor off the list once and for all when he pummeled the Last Emperor into the mat in 2011, now he comes back from being fairly outmatched for ten minutes to catch Reem with a series of brutal strikes that sent the K-1, Dream and Strikeforce champ tumbling. We would be absolute jerks to not put Bigfoot on the list now, but it really isn't up to us. We visit a mountaintop den like the one R'as al Ghul hangs out in to decide the Frate Trane list, and even then half of it is some sort of supernatual experience. So we make no promises.

I don't know about a Cain rematch, but Barnett vs. Bigfoot has to happen. It would be the real final to the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix, you know.

You could say it was Reem's lack of respect that was his undoing, even though he was landing and out-muscling Bigfoot for the entirety of the match. But, keeping your hands down isn't the best idea when one shot from a dude who rehydrates to well over 280 pounds is all it takes, and Reem took a lot more than one shot. Wow.

Everyone is dangerous in the UFC.

The most important lesson here is that if Overeem wants to tell people that he's the better fighter, he's got to do it with his knees, fists and shins. He can trash talk all he wants, as long as he gets the job done and puts his opponents away.

I was rooting for him until the end of the second when he made a scoffing face at Silva. Couldn't help but laugh when he got laid out in the next round. But looking forward to him decimating his next opponent after this lesson.

Since everyone seems to be commenting on this, let me join the mainstream crowd. Reem was dominating Bigfoot in rounds 1 and 2. He was bigger, stronger, and much more technical and Bigfoot seemed legitimately scared. But Reem seemed far too confident from the start and that got him in trouble. He made a terrible mistake and let Bigfoot hit him with punches he obviously can't handle. Reem lost fair and square but that only looses him a bit of grounding since he dominated Bigfoot otherwise. A good match-up is JDS/Reem. Something we've wanted for a while. Bigfoot needs props, man. He isn't the biggest of the most technical but he beat both Fedor and Reem. So Bigfoot is at the top. Give him Cain.

Congrats to BigFoot i always knew he was a top heavyweight. I'm sure Overeem will learn for his mistakes, he was nothing like himself in there, even his stance was different, he took unnecessary risks when it came to his defense and was ultra conservative with his offense. It's a great strategy to turtle up and soak punches if you're a big guy like Overeem or Ghita, wait out the combo and then counter..in kickboxing that is, don't work so well with 8 gloves..Overeem s kickboxing tendencies cost him this defeat.
