If you take inflation into account, Tevatron, RHIC, PHENIX, LHC, AGS alone cost a large amount, just to build. If you further look at the brick layers, painters, researchers, quadripole magnets, land costs, safety procedures, maintenance, electron microscopes, etc, since the 60s, counting for inflation, we're well on our way to the trillion mark.

I'm not in the mood to do math, so if someone's feeling up to it, I'd be genuinely interested in the figures.

So, if you read what I wrote, I was suggesting that there is a creator. I believe this to be true, mainly because of my tenure studying artificial intelligence at Carnegie Mellon University, under Herb Simon.

The amount of effort that I need to put into an application, to come close to replicating human intelligence is remarkable. The chances of my software "just happening", like average internet warriors believe, are very well close to 0.

I actually worked at the Brookhaven National Lab when they accelerated a gold ion for the first time. I love science, and keep an open mind when I get my hands on data.

I think that science is doing a great job proving that we didn't just show up, but there is order to existence. Most people just reject it when they get their hands on the data.
