Although Bellator's Spike TV's premiere will be this Thursday in Irvine, California -- I've been guilted into flying to my parent's house to spend a couple weeks with them. This is what happens when you don't see the folks for three consecutive holidays and your mother calls you every Thursday to ask if you love her. Surprise, I do have parents. Despite the rumors, I was not constructed in a mechanical facility off the coast of Taiwan.

Aside from missing the start of Season 8 of Bellator, I won't be able to see Alistair Overeem vs. Bigfoot Silva at UFC 156 or Ronda Rousey take on Liz Carmouche in Anaheim at UFC 157. The things we do for our parents. Good thing I brought my Xbox for this rather extended non-vacation. They even scanned it twice at the airport to make sure it wasn't one of those useless Playstation 3s.

I'll be in front of my television watching the start of Bellator's light-heavyweight tournament just like all of you other handsome individuals out there. We are one in our propensity to sit motionless for an hour while our face is radiated with a soft glow.

pretty sure the jabs from the start really pissed him off...besides, his defense (at least here) was totally useless, he kept on eating those punches himself. Not one was blocked, his arm sweepes were after the other guy already retracted his arm...lowsy
