Brazil’s best undefeated prospect was almost KOd in the 1st round, until he pulled off the comeback of the year

Thomas de Almeida’s nickname is ‘Thominhas’ because apparently the moniker registrar was all out of names that day. His nickname is basically the beginning of his name and a third-person singular present tense possessive verb, showing the world that he has a strong hold of the English language, even though he doesn’t exactly speak English.

He’s 12-0, and finished all of his fights in the first round and the best part about it is Thomas de Almeida is only 21-years old. Don’t be surprised, the guy has been training at Chute Box ever since he was a teenager. Last week the 135lber took on Valdines Silva at MMA – Super Heroes 1 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Early in the first round, Silva made his fists the equivalent of every villain in Streets of Rage and brought it directly to Almeida’s face. Thomas was backed up to the cage, dropped, and somehow managed to pull this off all in the first round. Props to Lucas Lutkus for the find.
